Heavy stuff Bill. Nice artwork though and insight into what makes your art uniquely your own.

Hi Linda--Probably too much, huh? I had thought. You're right though, this stuff defines me. Perhaps I'm trying to demonstrate my inability to write. Should I get rid of it and just leave the art?

Bill, never be afraid to post your comments and words along with your paintings. I may not always "get it" but I do find it interesting and thought-provoking. And the painting is wonderful - those wavy lines moving outward from the center make me think of the sun - but then the warmth that comes with just an instant of enlightenment. Unfortunately, for me, it is just an instant. Take care!

Rhonda, thank you. I actually did that piece back in the mid 90's, stuck it in the drawer, uncolored, and just rediscovered it. Don't know if its finished, needs spots and some patina.

As for the heavy writing, after I posted it I ran across a couple of Zen poems that had me rolling with laughter--spot on given the post.

If you keep looking at things
from a dualistic point of view,
you will come to hate each other.

and especially,

2 mirrors facing each other.
nothing in between.

I don"t have time to answer all your questions right now. I did catch Jim Holt on Charle Rose last night--"why is there something instead of nothing"?

Disc Meditation is fantastic.

I'd edit. I think by editing, you'd also clarify your ideas. I can tell you are still digesting the information you've researched. This might have been too soon to write?

Hi Hallie--I just loved writing all that stuff. Always trying to resolve it all. Went back and re read it and well, I agree. I don't have time either, so I replaced all the nonsense with something a little more refreshing. Besides it goes better with the art. I swear, sometimes my head can be such a garbage can. Thanks for your indulgence.
